Good Shepherd will renovate existing space at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre. Residents of the Rockville Centre community remember the Mercy Hospice Inpatient Center, located in the St. Anne’s Pavilion on the grounds of Mercy. Since the late 1980’s when this unit closed, families in Nassau County have been seeking local access to a dedicated inpatient hospice center. Returning to Mercy Medical Center will enable Good Shepherd to provide inpatient services for families in Nassau and Western Suffolk Counties.
Good Shepherd Hospice is conducting a major Capital Campaign to provide the resources necessary to establish this inpatient unit. It is estimated that $2,000,000 would be required to meet this objective. The funds raised from this campaign will directly support Good Shepherd Hospice. Good Shepherd’s inpatient hospice beds in Nassau County will strengthen the continuum of hospice services, so greatly needed, to the community and within the CHSLI network.
We ask you to join us in making the difference for our friends, neighbors, and loved ones facing their end of life journey. Your support will extend far beyond the physical spaces we are building.
