Roger Sullivan Receives 2019 Carol Selinske Founder's Award
Roger Sullivan, LCSW, MBA, Director of Psychosocial & Support Services at Good Shepherd Hospice received the prestigious Carol Selinske Founder's Award at this year's Hospice and Palliative Care Associate of New York's Annual Interdisciplinary Seminar and Meeting. This award is presented every year to the person who encompasses: consistent and professional representation of hospice and palliative care and the needs of the terminally ill in NY State; outstanding efforts in enhancing the awareness and education of the hospice concept; and exemplary leadership in local, New York and/or national hospice and palliative care efforts.
As written in his nomination letter by Kent Brooks and Barbara Hiney, "Roger has a long and significant career in Hospice and Palliative Care with Good Shepherd Hospice (GSH). For the past 22 years, Roger has labored professionally to advance the mission of hospice and palliative care within his local region and across New York State. We are proud to count Roger among our most respected colleagues and peers within the Hospice and Palliative Care community. We value his friendship, devoted passion for end of life care, and vibrancy for life as an example for all who seek to further the mission of HPCANYS."
All of us at Good Shepherd Hospice echo Mr. Brooks and Ms. Hiney's words when they say, "We cannot think of anyone more deserving of this award in 2019 and congratulate Roger for his excellent leadership and wonderful example".
