Good Shepherd Hospice does
not wish not be known as a “fundraising agency,”
but that is an essential component of our daily care.
On an ongoing basis we are reimbursed through insurances
at a rate far lower then our actual costs. Putting that
together with the more than $300,000.00 in charity care
we provided last year and the non-sectarian bereavement
support we offer without fee throughout Long Island, you
can understand why we must continue fundraising.
Family Sponsored Fundraisers:
In gratitude for the care Good Shepherd gave to their
family members and friends, several of our former family
members have organized wonderful fundraisers to benefit
Good Shepherd Hospice. From golf outings, dinner dances
and beach parties, the continued unconditional caring
and respect of our families to our outreach have blessed
us.
